PLAYING FOOTBALL WITH GOD Out of the shattering night I cried my son my son where are you As I clutched a Bible in my arms And he answered mommy here I am on Heavens side sitting Beside God Jesus and many others But my son what are you doing in heaven she asked with her Voice sounding in alarm Mom you know, I’m finally going to play a game of football With God, the saints, Jesus and many others She looked up to Heaven and saw the players in the field and Fans in the stands All the players giving her a loving nod of acceptance of the new Angel in their midst Strangely though it seems like they were covered in armor With shields and swords in their hands But to me they were just getting ready to do battle in a heavenly Game of football I saw him run a touchdown against God in what seemed a Perfect movement described as art He jumped up in joy and hugged his fellow angels and saints Singing and praising But I know God let him do it out of the kindness of his loving Heart For out of the corner of the Lords eye I saw a wink and a smile So true as he was filled with dancing and singing Mommy many challenges and tragedies will come the Worlds Way as we all journey into Gods Kingdom The next time you see me I will be in the full armor of God With a shield a spear and a rod We will grasp you and many others and take you into Heaven In the rapture and call it finished and done God and the heavenly host will be receiving you because you see You have to come and see us play a game of football with God By Richard Anciso
