في هذا الكتاب (الجزء الأول ) نتناول مؤلفات الكاتب الأتية : "بيتر كاملسلد" Peter Camenzind و "اذا استمرت الحرب"( If the War goes on و "هائم ...متجول" Wandering و "ديميان" (Demian و"تحت العجلة"(Beneath the Wheel وبشئ من الاسهاب كتابه "سيدهارثا"( Siddhartha هيرمان هيسى ولد في ألمانيا عام 1877، ولاحقا أصبح مواطنا سويسرا. تأثر تأثيراً عميقا بالتصوف الشرقي.كتب الروايات والقصص والمقالات تحمل قوة روحية حيوية و التي أسرت خيال وولاء أجيال عديدة من القراء. في عام 1946، حصل على جائزة نوبل. وتوفي في عام 1962.
