About the Book

Anytime you are feeling low in your spirit, there is always a poem or two that can capsualize your feelings. God has always said in his word that he will never leave you or forsake you. The poem "If I Knew" speaks of my personal experience of querring where my son could be. He's been missing for 16yrs. Thinking about my son's disappearence puts my soul in a dry and thirsty land. I believe all you have to do is stand upon his word, "Standing on His Word" will always enable you to remain calm during any situation, Jesus will always be there.

About the Author

My name Is Jennifer Jones, I’m married to a wonderful husband. He has always encouraged and supported me in accomplishing my dreams including this book “On Eagles Wings”. I was born in Kingston, Jamaica weighing 2Ibs 4oz. During the time of my birth there wasn’t any sophisticated equipment for preemies like they have today. My crib was a dresser drawer, and my grandmother would have to pin me to a pillow for stability. Many prayers went up asking the Father to spare my life. I am alive, and doing well speaks of God’s blessing and infinite mercy towards me. I left Jamaica at the age 4 then immigrated to England. At the age of 7 I later lived in the east end of London England called Hackney. I came to Canada in 1967. 1967, was Canada’s 100th birthday. It was a Centennial year of celebration. My mother and father always made sure that their children attended Sunday school. Sunday school for us at the time was International Gospel Centre. Pastor D.J Emerson, was the founder and officiating minister. The love of Christ was present in my heart from an early stage in my life, and the reason I have written these poems is to show the different stages that I have walked intimately with my God. It is my personal relationship with my Saviour and friend Jesus Christ. My walk with Christ hasn’t been an easy one. At times it has been a hill and valley experience. Most of the time it seems that praising and worshiping the Master has proved to be a most exhilarating experience, a time when you can release your soul through hymns, worship, and prayer. Every experience that has happened to me only made me stronger and serves as a stamp of validation that my God is real.
