Carl Erskine Former All-star pitcher Brooklyn Dodgers Leroy New has lived the American Dream. He grew up in a small cabin in the hills of southern Kentucky, where he was raised by his grandparents. He attended a one room school house and often rode those four miles on horseback with his grandpa. Through dedication and hard work, he is today the "Guitar Wizard" of Branson, Missouri. He was voted Branson's guitarist of the year in 2010 and is a member of the Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame. Through it all he has maintained a warm, wholesome and genuine personality. About the Author

Leroy New was born in Muncie, Indiana on August 20, 1944. When he was two years old, his parents were divorced and Leroy went to live with his grandparents in the hills of southern Kentucky. During his early years he attended a one room school, which was almost a four mile trip from his grandparents' home. He often rode to and from school on a horse with his grandfather. He returned to Indiana to live with his mother during his high school years and married Carolyn Sue Foster. They have three children. After thirty years of working in a wire mill, Leroy retired at the age of 50. In 1995, Leroy and his wife moved to Branson, Mo. where he began a full-time music career. He is the star of his own show. In 2009, Leroy was inducted into the Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame and in 2010 was voted Branson's guitarist of the year. George E Pfautsch spent most of his working life as a financial executive with Potlatch Corporation, a major forest products and paper company. His final years were spent as the Senior VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Following his retirement, he began writing and speaking on the subjects of morality, justice and faith. He has published several books on those subjects. He is married to the former Dodi Sommers. They have two children.
