OPUS 54 Dádme pues Señor paciencia Tambien oh! Maestro dádme amor No mires ya mi inconsistencia Pues sufro plenamente mi dolor. Ya sabes que agradezco tu clemencia Es de Tí quien mucho espero Por eso recurro con vehemencia Para que disminuyas mi temor. Si saber pudiera que me espera Mayor paz tendría en mi interior O si Tú de espiritual manera Me avisaras Jesús infalible Salvador. Guía así firmemente esta conciencia Por un camino más seguro De tal menera que esta negligencia Transformarse pueda en heróico valor. OPUS 54 Lord, give me patience Oh! Master give me love Don’t look at my inconsistencies If I suffer fully with my pain. You know I thank you for your mercy It is from You I receive hope With vehemence I appeal to You To please diminish my pain. If I knew what waits for me I would have more peace inside Or if You in some spiritual way Will tell me, divine Jesus. This way firmly guides my soul For a better and sure road So in such manner this negligence Be transformed into heroic rewards.

About the Author
A poet all his life, Juan Jose Rodriguez lives in Tallahassee, Florida with his wife of 52 years. His long marriage, four sons and five grandchildren are a testament of his love for family, homeland, and especially God. In Tallahassee, he enjoys walking the beautiful rolling hills, writing, reading, listening to classical music, and attending exercise classes at the YMCA with his fellow octogenarians. This daily routine is a blessing and an inseparable component of his retirement years.
