Secret Shadows

Beep, Beep, Beep… The sound of my alarm clock goes off, waking me up at the break of dawn because its time to get ready for school. It is a bright and early Monday morning, and as I look out of my window I can see the brown and green leaves brushing down the sidewalk as the tree sways so peacefully in the wind. The smell of breakfast, brings a smile to my face as I jump out of bed. My mother was cooking one of my favorites, chocolate chip pancakes! As I walked down the hall, towards the bathroom door, I could hear my little brother blasting music in his bedroom. My dad was in the basement, getting his daily workout in, while I heard my sister racing out of the house so that she wouldn’t be late for work. This was a typical morning in the Mitchell house. Things were pretty much, perfect. Clear View Heights, may have not been the best vacation resort in the world, but its my home. I love it here. Clear View Heights was like a family. My town is so personal that, my teacher lives across the street from me. Sometimes things tend to get far too personal. This is why my neighbor, Sarah Grambling had such an impact on everyone in town. Especially, me… Candice Mitchell.How would you react to sudden death? How would you handle the death of a loved one?
