PROLOGUE - Woman At The Well

I am a woman. I seek to find what is causing the emptiness inside. I often wonder what my life would be like. I see only the scars that tarnished my existence. There is basically a well inside so deep and that well is filled with my bitterness and anguish. I do not know how I became broken and alone. I had very little notion of how I got where I was. I could only examine myself. I wanted to rise beyond the X of curses that are piled on by previous encounters. Paled and loss of self and identity. I am the woman at.....

A Dream

What is a dream that is stain by hate
What is a dream not met nor embrace by faith
What is a dream when so hard you fight
To get the seed to grow just right
What is a dream not entertained nor nourished
What is a dream when hope is last and water
Covers or buried everything that you own or have
What is a dream when the shoe you wear
Cannot take you where you need to go
So I say a dream is the end result
The thing you will be remembered for......

Gods’ Little Princess

I like to take little trips through my minds
countryside, where there is endless
possibilities and the boy always
gets the girl, after he save the day,
how completely imaginary, but a dream
is not a dream when that dream comes
through, you may wish upon a star all
you want, if you don’t believe and
go after your dream the dreams you
dreamt may never transform to life,
I believe in fairy tales because I
have a friend who make my dreams.......

Forgiveness

I sit and I looked out the window, to see or
get a glimpse of what tomorrow holds for me,
I am in the dark but what if the dark is in me,
I can’t accept this rioting that hides within me,
many times I switch sides, wishing that the
war would destroy me, I wanted to be punished,
to feel like there was a reckoning immediately,
not waiting and wondering when and how it......

Body and Soul

He was the hungry lion
And I was a trapped prey
I watched him craved me with such greed and lust
With no thought or care of the outcome
He disgust me and I hated him with a passion
I try to hide to keep out of sight
With the hope that his craving would go away
But that seemed to stimulate him even more
And with no warning he pounce and devour
with no apologies
Such arrogance
He infected me tainted me and sabotage me
He took the life out.......

At Last

I knew we had certain enabled rights
I knew we had certain civil liberties
I knew we all were created equal
I knew the King walked because
He was tired of sitting and sitting
Miss Parks she sat because she was
Tired of standing and standing
They all had a dream Malcolm used force
Lincoln used his office he even tried to
Inspire others to believe in a black dream
The dream of a people who’s legacy was......

EPILOGUE - Is there anything too hard for God?

We choose what battles to present to our father and for how long we leave it up to him. Most of the time we take it back and try to solve what God didn’t. As if to say we can do a better job or maybe he is taking too long. Sometimes we are just not comfortable with the results. It’s not quite what we expected. Maybe it’s too short or too tall or maybe......
