Webster County is better than ninety five percent forest land, and most of the terrain is very rugged and steep and Websterites learned to sustain themselves and their families over the ages and in doing so they learned how to grow their own food, Garden vegetables, Potatoes, corn, cane for their sugar. They also, learned to raise bees for their honey, raise cattle, hogs and sheep for their meat.

About the Author
Roy Earl Cool, the author is a disabled veteran, having been wounded while serving in the United States Navy, during World War Two. when his ship was damaged by a kamikaze plane off of Okinawa, he served over twenty years as a West Virginia State Policeman. He and his wife presently live in Diana West Virginia, they have three sons.
