About the Author
R, Elger has always had an active imagination, so introducing her book character Owen and his best friend Moopy in the imaginary land of Nunger, is just another step in sharing her stories with children everywhere. From reading to her six grandchildren or community children at the public library, Ms Elger has a love of both books and characters that ignite children's imaginations. Born and raised in South Dakota Ms Elger has always loved her local lakes and walking the rolling farm ground. Her dog Hunter is such a beloved companion that he inspired Owen's best friend Moopy in her first book, "Owen and the Porcupine Birthday Party". Her oldest daughter helped illustrate the character of Owen and her oldest sister Nancy encouraged her to write and helped edit this book. Now wintering in Florida Ms Elger has the time to share her love of books and her imagination by writing and creating characters for both children and adults.
