About the Author
Michaela king was born in 1960 in the spa town of Harrogate north Yorkshire England. The daughter of Dennis Halliday who was a roofer and tiler and Elizabeth “jean” Halliday. Michaela grew up in Harrogate where she did her schooling and met her husband where as her surname became king, but still held on to her surname Michaela Halliday- king.
In the early stages of her marriage she bore her husband four children Michael, Gary, Alex and Tiffany.
Michaela as a child was always interested in reading and writing and often wanted to write her own book, encouraged to write by her mother with the words “you can do it!” As a child Michaela’s mother suffered a severe stroke which had a great in pact on her life.
Michaela’s love of poetry came from T.S. Elliot, Keats, Dante, who was often found to be reading them.
Michaela moved to the north east “Newcastle” in the late 80s to help with her disabled mother, who after nearly twenty five years had learnt to say the words Michaela wanted to hear again “you can do it”.
Her late mother died In the year 2001 and her father still lives’ in Harrogate to this date. Michaela has nine grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
