About the Book

Adventure and mystery await Billy and his pet, Froggy, on a day that was to be a pleasant surprise outing with Billy's parents. As Billy is getting ready for this trip with his parents, Froggy decides to run outside and Billy chases Froggy to try and get him to come home. During this chase Billy and Froggy mysteriously enter a magical, wonderful place. Come join this wonderful journey as Billy races to get himself and Froggy back home before his parents realize that their son and his pet are missing!

About the Author

Ms. Lisa Porter was born in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in the Cabrini Green Projects,in one of the poorest and most violent neighborhoods in Chicago. Her family was extremely poor. Through hard work and education Ms. Porter started working for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in 1982. She is presently the Diversion Program Assistant for the Diversion Program Manager. Ms. Porter decided to become involved in the mentoring program that DEA has with one of the public schools. She has been a mentor for the last 11 years. Ms. Porter is also a jazz singer and has used her talent for other schools from pre-school thru high school. Not only would she sing but she would also talk to the children about how to stay positive throughout their education and how to stay away from drugs. Her work with the children inspired her to become more involved with them. Ms. Porter decided to write her first children's book called "Billy and Froggy". Ms. Porter has also written other books, that will soon be published. She's certain that they will also put laughter and smiles on the faces of children.
