What is the Number System? The number system is a set of numbers grouped, or put together, with one or more operations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The sum is the answer from numbers or things added together. The difference is the answer from numbers or things subtracted. The product is the answer from numbers or things multiplied. The quotient is the answer from numbers or things divided.
