About the Book

This is a story about a young girl who has a special power. She does not have the powers a ‘normal’ superhero has – she cannot breathe fire or jump over walls; she cannot become invisible or turn people to stone. But what she can do is save the world. Jessie is an eight-year-old girl who moves to Dubai with her family. In her new school, she makes many friends. One day, Jessie’s teacher gives her a book to read about a topic that troubles her. About the Author

Poonam is a primary school teacher who has been living in Dubai for the past four years. She was born in London in the United Kingdom and enjoys visiting new places. This story is based on her own experiences and is inspired by the children she has taught.
