Island Girl is the autobiography of a naïve young lady who was born on an island in the Caribbean. Her ignorance was bliss and her lifestyle was one of content until she moved to a first world country. This new culture was very different and difficult for her to understand. Although she interacted with coworkers and fellow college students every day, in the first four years, she withdrew from reality in an effort to keep her sanity. This is a story of happiness, sadness, extreme loneliness and lessons in life.
