Lora yawned as she walked out the door to get the local newspaper, she glanced up at the bright beautiful blue and pink morning sky, streaked with a fine line of purple and orange clouds, she could hear the summer insects singing their happy song. Birds were flying to and fro building nest or feeding their babies the early worms. What a lovely day for relaxing and doing nothing. However, there was no relaxing for her; she was in her routine of catching up on the gossip for the local newspaper, drinking a cup of coffee on the sun porch and finding gossip to write in the Snoop Column for the local newspaper. Just a gossip column for the women in the community. An excuse to meet with the girls at the Coffee Shop or the Tavern’s Inn. With coffee in hand and the news paper opened, she gasped for breath as she read the head lines on the front page. LOCAL GIRL FOUND AFTER TWENTY YEARS. Her eyes scanned the story so fast she did not believe what she was reading.

LOCAL GIRL FOUND AFTER TWENTY YEARS The head lines shocked Lora Watson as she sat on the patio drinking her morning coffee. She calls her friends to meet her at the Tavern's Inn. Lora writes a gossip column for the local newspaper and Lisa Young had been gossip since high school. Lisa Young was a spoiled rich girl with long blond hair and a coke bottle figure and all the boys were crazy about her. They lavishly covered her with expensive gifts. While in college Lisa was having an affair with Mr. Gibson, a prominent attorney in Brownsville. They both got mixed up in drugs and greed put them on the wrong road with Drug Dealers. Lisa was looking for a rich life and lots of money. Mr. Gibson knew how to deal with Drug Dealers and Lisa Young was the perfect entertainer for the men from the Drug Cartel. They were not beyond murder. They thought they would never get caught. Two of the townsmen turned up dead, no one suspected sweet Lisa Young, and certainly not the town's greatest attorney. Soon everything began to change and Lisa found out she had a conscience and wanted out, a remarkable series of events begins to unfold. . . . she finds two friends that she can trust but Lisa wonders if it's too late.
About the Author
She majored in music at Appalachian State University and taught in public school system for several years and then did private lessons for thirty-four years. She has a very unique imagination and has written stories for children and short stories for adults. She is the author of a memoir Magnolia Dreams. She is an avid reader of good mystery novels. JB Faw lives in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. It is a small town at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A peaceful and serene southern country town for vacationers that enjoy the country life.
