“Attack and run them out.” We speed up to over eighty miles per hour, blasting away with our heavy weapons. My .50 caliber rips through the trees and vehicles as the Mark-19 rips apart the perimeter. The vehicles scatter. “Damn, Engles, there are more than eight vehicles. Make sure they can’t concentrate on any one of us. I’ll call in the attack choppers.” “You got it, but it better be quick. These guys are pouring out of the area like ants from an ant hill.” I switch from Tactical One to Tactical Two with my right foot. “Saber Leader, this is Farseeker, we need an attack now, over.” “Farseeker, this is Saber Leader. We are launching now. Turn on your locator beacon and we will home in on your frequency, over.” “Roger, you have a green light. Both of my vehicles will be sending out locator beacon signals so you will not have to ID us, over.” “Roger, from what we have, you are eleven minutes from us. Can you hold, over?” “Roger, but I’ll feel like a deer during hunting season, over.” “I hear you, out.” Eleven technical pull to the edge of the trees and start to open fire on us. Three of them are mounting mortars and four are mounting 106mm recoilless rifles. The remaining four are mounting Russian,14.7 MM heavy machine guns, which are our greatest concern at this point. As we turn towards the trees, we are able to bring both guns on our FAVs to blow for a few seconds before we have to cut away, only to be fired at by everything they have. It feels like I have driven into a hailstorm because so much stuff is slamming into me from their guns. It’s a good thing I order everyone to wear body armor. “Shit, pull back. Those mortars are getting too close.” But it is too late. A mortar detonates right in front of my vehicle, flipping it on its side and dragging both of us along with it for fifty feet before it stops. I’m totally stunned from bouncing around in the gun mount, but at least we are wearing our restraint straps. “Shit, Tazon. Looks like we are fighting on foot.” “That’s great. I always like being the underdog,” he says with a forced laugh as enemy ground troops start rushing towards us. Both of us hide behind the vehicle and use it for cover. Even though our armor protects us from ground fire and mortars, the recoilless rifles would tear us apart. When it seems that they are going to overrun us, Engles cuts between us and them, blasting away with the .50 cal and forcing them back into the cover of the trees. He then drives up alongside us, hooks a line to the top of our FAV, and guns his, jerking ours back onto its wheels. He then speeds off to continue the fight. Our vehicle will still run, so we mount back up and start to drive away.

Showing war is not glamourous as TV depicts it but a down and dirty no holds barred fight. You will Follow trooper David Grace from right out of jump school as a a wet behind the ears cherry into a no non-sense DELTA Force Oprative. Following him around the world thru all kinds of situations. Some funny some bad some good But all intense. When u sit down to read this book ensure you have plenty of time to read, Once you get started you will not want to stop and put it down. The action will be so real you will feel like you are there in the action.
About the Author
I was born in North Dakota but do not remember anything about it now. i was raised in Alabama and Mississippi. It was in Mississippi where i joined the Army in 1982 right after my 17th birthday. i did 25 years total service. i would still be in the Army if not for having to take a medical discharge. It was during those years that i gathered my knowledge to write this book. while in the army i was able to travel around the world twice and would not trade any of it for the world. Most of the places i was sent was what i used for the basis of this book. first hand knowledge. I decide this knowledge should be shared with everyone. My favorite pass time is SCUBA diving, and photography. i do my best now to combine the two. as well as cooking. I am a certified chef i love cooking so much, I use to work as a chef in a casino but do not work in that field now , due to the atmosphere and politics involved with the Casino i worked for. I currently live in Gautier, Mississippi. Where i returned to after i retired from the Army. Where i am Self Employed as a Pilot Car driver. Escorting oversize loads on the road system.
