If I told you what I thought of you
The moon wouldn’t rise and
the stars wouldn’t shine
If I told you what I feel for you
The currents in the ocean would never move and
the rivers of the mountains would cease flowing to the
sea
If I told you what you mean to me
The sun would become jealous and wouldn’t set and
the birds would stop their singing
If I whisper to you how I feel
no one would ever know
except to look at us when we are together
If we had never met
How sad the things of creation would be
They would never have had the chance to rejoice
and share our Love

About the Book
I was surprised to find how living, yet lost, and alone in New York City could be possible. I worked, then went to school at night for five years. The photographs are from my travels. The verse taken from my spiritual and emotional outlet of a tiresome schedule. The exodus of the commuters left me bereft of the people that I worked with or studied next to in class. Everyone is so busy leaving the City after work anxious to find their safe harbor with family. I lived alone. I biked in Central Park each weekend following a schedule so I could see the same people. Then I took-up roller blading as my bike was stolen.
About the Author
The author graduated from Aurora University for his BA, then New York University for graduate school. He received his MA later in life than most, afterwards the realities of grad school debt arrived. Consequently, he spent many years overseas with people of different cultural and religious perspectives. His family is a multilingual assortment that is often confusing at dinner. He presently serves the people of the USA in government service. While a public servant, he volunteered his `179' to Iraq and will soon go to another AOR instructing young and old of other cultures on USA's best practices, cultural diversity, and ways of government. All are responsible for the success, or failure, of the dream.
