About the Book
Young Akiko Yamamoto wakes up to find herself in a strange and magical world. She soon meets the world’s only other inhabitants - two young boys, one from China and one from Haiti. How did three children, all from distant lands, come to be in this strange place? The three struggle to find a way home, and as they evaluate things remembered, the truth is revealed. Finding a Way Home is a novella that seeks to weigh the small moments that make up a life. How might a child measure his or her short life?
About the Author
Jennifer Hulum, award winning filmmaker and former TV director, graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Master's Degree in screenwriting. She lives in Southern California with her husband, a structural engineer. This is her second children’s book. Luciana Guerra, artist and illustrator from Buenos Aires, Argentina, graduated from IUNA with an MFA Degree. She has won several illustrations and painting contests. Mother of two baby girls, nowadays she enjoys working freelance on children's illustration, painting and teaching. Shabana Kayum is an American freelance editor and creative writing consultant. She resides in Pennsylvania with her family.
