Once every year, around the end of May, grasshoppers come together for a very special day. This is the day young grasshoppers are put to the test to see just whose leg poppers have turned out the best! They will high jump and long jump as part of the outdoor fun. They will leapfrog and jump rope until the setting of the sun. This was also the day Gary had been dreading all week. He did not know why, but his legs always seemed unique. You see… Gary was found as a baby by two grasshoppers late one night. They agreed to love and raise him under the moon and stars bright light. They knew that Gary was special,so his dad promised he would stop her if his mother tried to tell him he was not a true grasshopper.

About the Author
Kate Anderson is a Registered Dietitian, wife, and mother to an energetic two-year-old with a wild imagination. Since becoming a stay-at-home mom, she began pursuing her dream to write children's books that share lessons and values she would want her children to grow up with. She chose Gary Grasshopper and His Broken Leg Poppers to launch her career because determination is a quality she hopes all children hold tight to. When she is not writing, in her free time, Kate enjoys keeping the family active with visits to the parks, swimming, and their seasonal camping trips.
