Jada opened her eyes and beheld the warm glow of the new spring sun as it melted the last of the snow. The birds were all singing, Trix chittered with glee, “hurry Jada, quick- you gotta come see.” So she sprang out of bed and ran after the critter, as he raced to the green house with a chatter and a chitter. Trix had made a great baby sitter, and the proof was roosting on a limb. Jada's heart started racing and it took her breath away, to see Malachai standing there in the sunshine that day. His wings were spread wide as they dried in the sun, reflecting the most beautiful colors like his Grandfathers had done. Combinations of crimson and sapphire the colors did gleam, with shades of purple and gold completing the scene. He was the spitting image of Malachai, his grandfather. Jada was such a proud Mama. This was the most wonderful feeling she’d ever had. As soon as Malachai was ready, they all went outside. Malachai decided to try out his new wings and took Jada and Trix for a ride. They soared up and around their cute little valley and swooped down the other side. “OOOHH!” roared Malachai. “I really like this flying thing. This is going to work out most excellent for me.” Jada laughed and squealed with joy at the thrill of being in the air once more, and this time sharing it with her own little boy. Her heart was so full of joy it really seemed to hurt, until she looked down and saw poor little Trix, terrified, clinging desperately to her shirt. So Jada hollered “Hey Malachai!” “Let’s get this critter on the ground, he doesn’t seem to take to all this flying around.” As soon as they got the little squirrel down he spent the next five minutes hugging and kissing the ground. Malachai and Jada laughed and rolled till their sides ached watching little Trix, and his love affair with the ground. ____2____ After they finally settled down and Jada could speak again, she mentioned, “that’s right, he is a ground squirrel after all.” That got them to rolling again as Trix was explaining, “awww, I wasn’t scared. I just had to go potty real bad, yeah that’s it.” So Jada tells him “I’ll tell you what. You run take care of your business and I’ll see if I can talk Malacha’i into flying a little slower on the way back.” Trix chittered back explaining there was some stuff he really wanted to check out down at this end of the valley anyways, as he scampered off into the bushes to avoid any further discussion on the subject. Jada and Malachai laughed again and decided this would be a good time to start teaching Malachai to hunt. Of course he was a natural and before the end of the day they had a nice turkey for dinner.

Malachai has taken his love for the Dragon & creating beautiful things & dedicated it to offering hope to the children. Malachai loves the little children of the world.
