About the Author
I have been writing poetry for such a long time now...I almost feel as if the prose flows through my blood. Poetry is my release, it keeps me sane, it makes me whole. Oftentimes I find it hard to say what I really want to say, poetry is the one sure fire way I can make the world listen to me; the way I can make a ripple in its stagnant waters... Through out my English classes, all the schooling, art has always been the one thing I was taught makes a difference in this world. Writing is an art and I have learned how to mold it and create beautiful words that form these sentences that string together something so profound from ones own pain. I live in a bubble of a world where people focus a lot on just the smaller pictures of their lives. If my poetry can make people see the big picture, that no matter how isolated they may feel in their tiny little bubble, they are not alone, then I would have accomplished something great. Human beings experience the same emotions. Some so toxic...if we can just realize we can create such beautiful things from our pain maybe our world would not seem so dark. What's more, if our creations can become the mirrors to our souls, maybe then we would finally realize we're not at all that different. Poetry is my window and I have opened it so that I can hear the chirpings of my own heart. I want nothing more than for people to hear what’s inside their own hearts. I have opened mine for everyone to see its scars, and it has freed me. If we could all do the same we could break the chains we hold on ourselves.
