Fade

At the sound of the gruff voice calling out her name, Lia and the young man beside her, eyes opened bright and wide.

“Oh shit, is that the army chick?” dude asked.

“Oh my god, you have to get out of here quick,” Lia hissed, getting out of the bed and throwing on a robe as he stumbled into his jeans.

Picking up one of his sneakers, Lia threw it at him, “Go.”

“How, she’s downstairs.”

Looking around wildly her eyes finally rested on his exit.

“The window, go now.”

“Are you crazy, this is the second floor, can’t I hide in the closet then when she goes to the bathroom, sneak out the door?”

“She’s a fucking special opts captain; she’ll hear you and no doubt put a bullet in you before you reach the bottom of the stairs.”

“Shit you didn’t say that she was fucking Rambo. A Special Opts captain, fucking great.”

“Stop bitching and climb out,” Lia ordered as she held the window up for him.

Shaking his head, he stopped and looked her in the face briefly before making his fool attempt.

She sure enough looked as if she wasn’t new to being caught in odd circumstances. That’s what he get for going home with some chick from the club.
