About the Book

Paw Prints is a touching story of a boy and his dog, as they grow and change together. This sentimental story is told from the dogs point of view. Very often a child’s first opportunity to learn the responsibility, and rewards, of caring for and loving something is through their pet. Just as often a child’s first experience with losing a loved one is the loss of their pet. If your child has a pet, then Paw Prints will help your child learn that animals have many of the same needs and feelings that people have. Pets need to be loved and cared for in a similar manner. If your child has lost a cherished pet, then Paw Prints will provide an avenue for you to help your child focus on the joy the pet brought him or her instead of the loss.

About the Author

Laurie grew up in the small town of Heyworth Il. For most of her life she has enjoyed the companionship of a dog. Laurie has a particular fondness for the Black Labrador Retriever. She has found their loving and playful nature to be a perfect fit for her family.
