Brown remained slumped on the bed totally oblivious to what was going on. Tom heard the floorboards creaking all over the house as the officers searched the upper floor. He sped around the room looking for an escape. The windows where shut tight and looked as though they had been that way since Brown bought the place. He even considered shooting through the door as the police came in, but it was too risky and besides it sounded like half the station had descended on the house. He felt sure he would be discovered. He floated into the middle of the room and waited for the inevitable, feeling totally helpless he awaited his fate. Tom could hear the officers outside the door, any second they would be in. One or more had entered the other bedrooms, Tom could hear the doors banging against the walls in a plaster shattering crunch. The hallway mirror lost its battle to remain nailed to the wall. It took one too many hits as a 18 stone officer rushed past knocking it to the floor. The following officer landed a size 12 in the centre sending cracks from the pressure point in all directions. They stood poised outside the only remaining unopened door. The scene in the broken mirror a kaleidoscope of 70s carpet, wallpaper and police body parts strangely disfigured from the broken reflection. Tom felt a pang of sadness at the mirrors demise, with the first times recollection of the strange orbs reflection clear in his mind. Tom took a deep breath and waited. A few seconds passed and he felt himself slowly moving backwards. There was a draft going all around the house from the downstairs open doors. He spun round and realised he was drifting towards the fireplace. “The fireplace!” He shouted. Relief flowing through his body, it was his only escape.

Seph Morgan. (Sci Fi Fan). i found it very humourous and thought provoking, i really enjoyed it.
JC...the reference to Stonehenge is amazing. his book is intriguing, i can't put it down. I'm even reading it at work!!! I would like to say at I thought it was a great read, I thought it was very interesting and thought provoking with an amazing plot. I think you have a real quality when it comes to descriptive writing and your attention to detail is reminiscent of greats , such as Carpenter and King.
J Walker... Yep, finished it last night. Enjoyed it and think you must have a very strange imagination! Clever story-line though. Seems there is room for a follow-up book.......?

In 2004 he sold and moved with his wife Diane and son Samuel to Tenerife, Canary Islands to soak up some well-deserved sun.
