About the Book

Adam Childe is a teenage boy in a time of chaos and change. Raised in a secluded African village and apart from the world, he is alone and without friends, tormented by a merciless tyrant who relentlessly attempts to make slaves out of his fellow villagers. After two long years of growth and an encounter with a supernatural being, Adam may have finally found a way to secure his worth and save his home. With Death on his side, Adam realizes his potential, the value of life itself, and begins his journey into the vast world around him and the hardships of facing his darkest fears head-on. The Acquaintance promises to be one of the most powerful and emotionally-charged stories of all time, delving into life and death themselves.

About the Author

Kyle Geertsma was born in London, Ontario, Canada. He lived in Canada for sixteen years and moved to a small town in Alabama three years ago, making him nineteen today. Kyle was always a straight-A student in school and moved around a lot, nine times total, giving him attendance at six different schools in all. He always thought of things in a more complex manner, which is probably the source for his interest in philosophical issues and writing. Kyle is definitely an  unusual teenager, but is a very strong person, especially for his young age. Kyle prides himself on this among other things, and this is also one of the largest contributors to his influence in writing.
