Forget things that diverted you from God and start a new relationship with Him. He will forgive, forget, and continue loving you. We usually receive spiritual fire when we get saved. When I got saved, I became a renewed person by the mercy of God. He redeemed me, washed me, energized me, and gave me hope. I acquired the insight to know what sin was and how to deal with it. I prayed all the time, and I had a lot of faith in God. I sang praises, and I felt super natural power around me. I started having powerful visions like the ones I wrote about in my book More and More Veils Lifted From My Face. After a period of time, I realized that I was stagnant. I was born again, but I crawled on my knees for a long time. It took me awhile to stand and walk. I thank God because my fire didn’t go out. I developed an interest to serve God and started looking for His presence through prayers. The Bible teaches us that when you search, you find. When you knock on the door, it will be opened onto you, and when you ask, you will be given. God’s word is true and real. When I searched for His presence, He availed Himself and taught me how to stand up and walk in spirit. When people get saved, they receive spiritual fire differently. Some people keep their fire burning for a long time, but the majority give up quickly. How do you keep your fire burning without going slow or going out? You can only make it by trusting God in good and bad times. Some people receive Jesus as a savior when they are facing trials. Immediately God helps them get out of the trials, yet soon they start drifting. Refocus your attention to God, and forget about things that divert you from Him. Romans 8:35 and 37, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Some people trust in God only when they are happy. However, in time of trials, their fire for the Lord burns slowly. Praise God in all seasons and pray for your fire to keep burning. Give God one day by going to church to thank Him for the free life he has given you. Get committed to the word of God. He will give you victory by lifting you from glory to glory. Your fire will not go out, and you will get the ability to do extraordinary things you never imagined you could do. You may lose your fire because of moving from church to church. Without knowing, you end up in cult churches, becoming confused and lost. Some people get tempted to start their own ministries because they want to make themselves rich. If things don‘t work out, they backslide because of shame. Second Timothy 1:6-7, “Hence I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands; for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.” Paul wrote this latter to Timothy, his child in the Lord, to strengthen him in the word of God. He was encouraged to avoid the spirit of fear regardless of the hardships he was facing, and to revive his fire that was going out through prayers. You need to walk in spirit so as to have power, love, and self control. The Holy Spirit should be your teacher, to convict you of sin and empower you to be what God designed you to be. The spirit of timidity is sin, and it can make your fire go out, because whenever you have fear, the evil spirit takes control of your life. You may think that you have enough experience because of the years you have been saved, but that can make your fire go out because there is no one who has experience in the word of God. Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.” Share with other people the word of God and you shouldn’t be by yourself all the time. Have a prayer partner whom you can encourage each other in the word of God. Be careful with the people you associate with, for if they are not strong in the word of God, they can make your fire go out by dragging you in sin. The Bible teaches us that the first will be the last and the last will be the first. If you were fortunate to get saved before others, run your race of faith seriously, or else, God will raise up a new people who love Him wholeheartedly. Then you may find yourself drifting because of anger or jealousy. Your body is the temple of God. If you give Him your heart, He will dwell in you and grant you understanding in everything. When you go to church, pray that God opens your inner hearing. Pray also for the preacher that God may use him mightily. You will not leave the church the same way you came in. Pray with your family and read the Bible daily. Ask God to guide you in understanding the Bible spiritually. It is through family fellowship that you will get confidence to serve. Listen to the Holy Spirit, and sing praises and songs to help keep your spiritual fire burning. If your house has a warm fire, people will come in and go straight to a seat at the fireplace. But if your fireplace has ash, no one will go there. People will ask for your prayers only if your fire is burning. Rekindle your fire, and ask yourself what is going on in my life. You may have sinned. Repent and focus your attention on God

What God Requires will give moral to anyone who is down and trying to get up, it will also provide a boast to those who accepted the Lord but they are weak in their walk of salvation. What God requires is very simple if you have a willing heart and if you are obedient because it doesn’t coast anything. You only need to fear God, to walk in his ways, to love Him, to serve God with all your heart and all your soul, and to keep His commandments and statutes. You will also learn that the fear of God is the road map for guidance, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. God delights in using people who love and serve Him whole heartily. He used some of the disciples who didn’t have credentials and they served mighty by writing encouraging Gospels that we enjoy reading up to date. Being productive in the word of God is not education, but the determination to obey God and to pray that you receive His will and grace. Mrs. Okwata describes the real meaning of marriage, that it is God’s intention for a husband and wife to get married and it is a solemn stage that should not be undermined. There are two major keys in marriage that has to be practiced and maintained by couples no matter how old they may be, “Love and trust,” because marriage is a school that nobody has ever graduated upon. You will be amazed to find out which continent the Magi who went to see baby Jesus in Bethlehem came from. The book is loaded with many interesting topics you wouldn’t want to miss.

Esther Okwata is a native of Kenya in Africa. She is married to her beloved husband Dan Okwata and they are blessed with two children David Okwata and Stella Okwata. Esther had a long time passion of writing books and she is now the Author of “More And More Veils Lifted From My Face” just released. If she doesn’t do her work of designing and beauty, she writes and work as a caregiver. She is a long time member of Christ Church Kakamega and now a newly registered member of Mount Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church. Esther enjoys reading the Bible, fellowships and reading books written by Christian authors. She also likes singing in the choir, and telling motivating testimonies.
