I ran to the tub to put the water on. I shouldn’t have done that, I shouldn’t have gone. I kicked off my slippers and stuck my toes in. I saw it right away, That’s where my story begins. I couldn’t believe my tired sleepy eyes. But I soon found out, This was no ordinary morning surprise. It was tall and hairy and it was 3 inches fat. It was right in my tub, It didn’t even wait on the mat. I turned white as a ghost and my legs wouldn’t move. There sat a spider, Right in MY shower groove.

About the Book

The Spider in My Shower is the story of how one spider found his way into the shower of a young boy. Initially very frightened, the boy overcomes his fear and soon comes to care for the spider. The boy sees that the spider is kind and gentle and befriends the little creature.
About the Author
Anna Cairo is an Early Education teacher. She has been writing poems and stories from the time that she knew how to use a pencil. Anna has a deep passion for children's literature and a strong insight for good children's entertainment. Her favorite time of day in the classroom is storytime, when a good book can light up the eyes and imaginations of her students. The Spider in My Shower was written to help Anna overcome her own fear of creepy crawlies.
