THE RETURN OF EINSTEIN centers around the adventures of a very large and clever black cat, EINSTEIN, who became lost and unprotected in the Dreamy Draw Mountain Preserve in Arizona. He was missing for eight months, and it was assumed by all who loved him that he had met a dreadful fate and was gone forever. How wrong we were! To illustrate Einstein's courage and ingenuity to survive the deadly heat and dangerous mountain terrain, he is compared to the great scientist, Dr. Albert Einstein, a similarly wily, perceptive and resourceful individual.
Many of the animal characters featured in the tale are alive and well today: Felines, Sonny and Cher and Hop-a-long Harry (aka Tripod), and Miss Mocha and Mr. Porter, the chocolate labs. Most importantly, Einstein the very wise cat is still alive and thriving. When he is not hiding in the loft of the old red roofed barn in New Hampshire, he can be found dozing on the cozy hearth of the fireplace (with one eye open to periodically check on his food dish).

About the Author
Barbara Hanser, author of THE RETURN OF EINSTEIN, has been a writer her entire life focusing on a wide range of journalistic projects. Originally intended as a short story, she could see that the heartwarming and unique story of Einstein the cat and the overwhelming material regarding Dr. Albert Einstein, deserved a full book format. She has written many short stories and informational articles, many of which have appeared in Phoenix publications and newsletters. A native of Minnesota, she authored A HISTORY OF POINTE SOUTH MOUNTAIN, based on the Arizona area where she has lived for twenty years. Over the past few years, she has started several books, one of which is based on the true story of an unwelcome cat family (mother and four kittens) who set up housekeeping in her side patio drain pipe for several months (i.e. CASSIUS & THE DRAINPIPE GANG).
