Martin felt a chill in his lounge as he sat quietly with a small brandy nestling in his hands. Looking towards the window, he could not but wonder if there was something out there.
With curiosity Martin took his glass and pushed the curtain aside with his free hand. Outside there was darkness and a little bit of a rustling breeze that gently swayed the small flags of the fishing boats bobbing up and down as the tide came in. The sound gentle and soothing to is ears.
He thought that he had caught sight of a small figure entering into the water, the waves seemed to envelope her as she disappeared beneath the waves, but then perhaps it was a trick of the night time, as he returned to his chair and finished his brandy.
Slowly he drifted off to sleep, with the glass tumbler still in his hand. His mind was filled with visions of the sea and the waves. The sounds filled his head and settled him into a comfortable sleep.

About the Book
The book investigates the world of the unknown through the eyes of the individual, experiencing the loss of a loved one, the murder of a beloved brother , political intrigue and the ghostly meanderings of a lost soul seeking justice.
About the Author
Kathleen Mary Pugh was born in Blackburn ,Lancashire,England.She started writing in 2002. Whilst working on an out of hours service doing a very stressful job, in order to relax and maintain an active mind during the early hours of the morning, during her designated break , she would allow her imagination to take her away to fantastic places and meet unusual characters and she would note them down and develop the story on her days off .
