SPIRITUAL REALITY
Today was the first day of school, but Joe Anderson, aka Joe Punk, would not be attending. He got the alias Joe Punk because of his punk appearance and demeanor. Last year, he failed the ninth grade due to his numerous truancies. This year Joe Punk was quitting school for good. His past teachers had considered him gifted, but dysfunctional. Joe Punk came from a broken home and was stricken with poverty. He was a master of video games and he hustled money games all over Chicago. He made some serious cash in the arcades scattered around the city. On a good day, he could walk away with a hundred dollars or more.
His father was an alcoholic who collected welfare and didn’t care that his son quit school. Joe Punk was lanky with spiked blond hair. Today he’s garbed in olive parachute pants, a black sleeveless shirt, and black combat boots. A dangling gold cross hung from his pierced ear, a standard punk look.
LYCANTHROPE
The myth of the lycanthrope, more commonly known as the werewolf, has existed for millennia. Most of the world’s populace would dismiss the idea as a superstitious fable. The few who know firsthand of the curse of the werewolf have seen this supernatural metamorphosis. The rarity of survival from an attack continues the bloodline of the curse and exists in obscurity. The cursed are doomed to transform into ravenous, bloodthirsty beasts every full moon.

Ryan is a native of Oshkosh Wisconsin but now resides in Vero Beach, Florida. He has a passionate and intriguing affinity for writing. Writing is a way of life for him (Zen-Like).
