About the Book

A Journey of Hope is the account of an extraordinary passage of time from the past into the future. It traces the salient aspects in the full life of Bob Parsons who graduates from a routine life style to take on a wake up call through the legacy and challenge left by his father to make a positive difference in life.

From a childhood spent in poverty, growing up on the streets of London in war torn Balham, Bob went on to achieve great things.

Bob Parsons has painted a picture of hope for many who live in poverty and deprivation and lack the essentials of having parents, health, food, water and/or education services.

The ‘no frills’ Charity Bob founded and registered in 1994 (no. 141258), continues to provide hope for many of the Handicapped, Orphaned, Poor and Exploited children of the world.

‘A Journey of Hope is the extraordinary story of an apparently ordinary man who has squeezed three times more into his seventy-odd years, as the rest of us – and who is not finished yet.  Go on – buy this book.’

About the Author

A Journey of Hope is the heart warming personal account of Dr. Bob Parsons, MBE, a humble man who has devoted a large part of his life to improving the lives of the world’s children.

From a childhood spent in poverty, growing up on the streets of war torn London, to being evacuated at the age of six. Bob slowly yet purposefully embarked on his own personal journey to serve humankind. Thinking always of others before himself, he gave many years of his life to Save the Children, visiting far flung corners of the globe and often putting his life in danger. He has brushed shoulders with potential suicide bombers, smelt the aftermath of war, genocide, bloodshed and desperation.

In 1994, instead of retiring, he founded his own charity Hope for Children, which has supported more than one thousand projects around the globe. The charity continues to provide hope for many underprivileged children. Bob continues in this mission to make the world a better place.
