It's Not a Game

This drop dead gorgeous woman came walking into my office.  Blue eyed, five foot two, who, on a scale of one to five, was a five.  She told me that she was a topless dancer, divorced and the mother of three children, two girls and a boy.  Her ex-husband hadn't visited with the children or supported them for several years and lived somewhere in Washington state.  She also stated that he had called to say he only wanted his twelve year old boy to spend time with him and so she sent the boy to his dad.  That's when I realized that beauty doesn't equate to brains, since she never asked her ex for an address or even the city that he was residing in.  The ex-husband said that he would send the boy back in two weeks.  (For the sake of not having to call her "her" or "she" or "client" I'll call her "Bambi".)  The telephone call did come from the Seattle airport.  I then told Bambi to come back with all the information that she had on the boy and her ex and to go to the Fairfax, Virginia prosecutor and obtain a copy of the arrest warrant for her ex since Virginia law states that "when a non custodial person takes a child out of the state it is a class six felony and the state and county will extradite."

Upon Bambi's return she handed me a file on both her son and her ex-husband.  His trade in Virginia was as a roofer and that he had declared bankruptcy before he left the state.  The situation was interesting.  Her mother would pay all of the expenses and, since she worked for an airline, would furnish first class airline tickets.  I took the case.
