About the Book
Betty, a big blue whale eagerly tries to save the planet from pollution and global warming. When she and her grandmother are separated, she must find out all she can from many of the sea animals she encounters along this journey. As she majestically makes her way around the globe, she meets many wonderful creatures along her journey who are eager to offer Betty advice. She is adamant to help the environment and all creatures big and small and save the blue planet. With a big heart and a hope of saving the earth, Betty's journey begins.
About the Author
Joline Vanbalinghem grew up with her loving family in Coarsegold California. She's a single mother raising four children. Her love for the ocean and all the creatures that dwell within are evident. Since the age of eight, she always wanted to save the beautiful creatures of the deep blue sea. With a love of scuba diving, she found that the ocean is a world in itself, a world worth saving! She was an interpreter for 2 years for a high school student who was deaf, when a wonderful opportunity opened. God opened a door for her in special education. She's a graduate of Fresno Pacific University with a BA in Liberal Studies. She's currently working towards getting her Masters in Special Education. As she looks toward the future, she hopes to teach special education and one day receive another credential in special education with an emphasis in deaf and hard of hearing. With a deep love for the ocean, she eagerly strives to make her way to the central coast in California to raise her four precious children and live near the ocean. She hopes to volunteer on a whale watching vessel and speak about how the beauty of the blue is worth saving! From the smallest of krill to the largest Blue Whale.. Hand in Hand we can make a stand!
