This is an adventure story about a young boy who lives with his parents and younger brother in a modern district of Dubai. One afternoon, while out with his dog, Marley, Zac stumbles upon an adventure. He sees some men loading, what he believes to be fish on to boats moored out at sea. However, events quickly become out of control and he is taken away to a different part of the Emirate with no means of contacting his parents and he also has to leave his beloved dog behind. There are many twists and turns to follow and when Zac has almost given up hope of returning home, he gets a lucky break helped by a very important man who helps him to escape and this leads to the apprehension of a gang of jewel smugglers. At the end of the adventure, the reader is left wondering if this did happen to Zac or was it a dream.......

About the Book
An adventure set in the modern Dubai, the story has an original plot, with the main character, Zachary becoming caught up in a smuggling ring. There are twists and turns and the ending leaves an unanswered question to tease the imagination of a child.
About the Author
Judith is a wife and mother of three married daughters and grandmother to two little boys. She has always wanted to write and had the idea for The Jewel Box Mystery while on holiday walking along the beaches of Dubai, where the boys live. Judith lives with her husband Raymond in the same house where their daughters were brought up; this is along a leafy lane in a beautiful part of County Down. Judith believes books for children should be well constructed and avoid the use of slang.
