Robert snuggled into his pillow. He felt warm and cozy. It was morning and he smiled. What would he do today? He was a city rat and there were always lots of adventures in the city.
“Good morning, Robert. Time for breakfast,” his mother called.
Immediately Robert’s mood changed. Breakfast! He hated breakfast!

It seems that Robert Rat has a problem but it also appears that there are several other problems that need to be investigated. By the end of this story all of the problems have been solved and miraculously, in a very tasty way. Bon appetite!

What to eat? Often this can become a difficult question for a family. It can be especially bad if you don’t like what your mother thinks you should be eating. How would you handle this problem?
This book tells the tale of Robert Rat, a rather good little guy except when it comes to dinner. He disagrees with his mother’s idea of good nutrition and this leads to trouble in the household.
About the Author
Del Newbigging began his career in education teaching in elementary school where he opened the door to first graders by showing them the magic of the written word. To be able to read was the way to enter the many worlds of the imagination. A constant reader himself he believes reading is the way to freedom and adventure whatever your personal life is offering you.
Born with a love for expressing himself by drawing and painting he went on to teach visual arts in elementary and secondary school as well as training teachers in the skills involved in teaching the arts. His own artistic talents have led him into the art of sculpture. He has created beautiful hand-held medals as well as large bronzes.
He has two children. His daughter is a children’s book illustrator and his son is an ER doctor. His grandsons are his chosen critics for his stories for children.
