Through my entire life of observation, examination, and contemplation, it has become apparent that the majority of society’s problems are caused by those who abuse Alcohol and Drugs.
A look inside the prisons and why most all inmates ended up there, tell the story in itself. The insanity of it all was because of one or more reasons relating to alcohol and/or drug abuse. The mind was altered during the crime; the crime was intended to get money to feed an addiction; the use of the abused substance caused mental illness and permanent loss of faculty, or mental problems began at birth from the parent’s substance abuse.
What’s more, our entire lives are all affected every day by the effects of alcohol and drug abuse. Many people live lives structured around a family member, friend, or co-worker who is abusing drugs and/or alcohol. Most times family members, especially parents, want to do whatever they can to help the alcoholic or addict. Almost always, these efforts are futile, frustrating, and unfortunately actually enabling the alcoholics/addicts and their bad behavior. What these addicts do, and our reaction or inaction toward them may send our own lives spinning into depression, exhaustion, joblessness, or even the loss of our own homes.
Many of the laws that are on the books for the protection of all were originally passed directly in response for protection against the actions of the alcoholic or drug addict. The current overcrowded prisons, jammed court systems, and higher taxes to pay for it all are even more of the ways that substance abuse affects us all.
Those who are, or have been incarcerated can tell you their story, and their story in most every case involves either drug or alcohol addiction either directly or indirectly.
The truth sometimes hurts, however the truth will set us free…all of us.

Potential people that can and will be helped are obviously the alcoholic or drug addict. In addition are the families and extended families of these alcoholics and addicts. Further, society as a whole is improved as the negative actions of these people are changed to positive actions. Your financial security helps the financial security of the entire country, and inevitably the world. You do your part and you can and will affect the lives of hundreds, thousands, and potentially hundreds of thousands of people. About the Author
Alan Kosinski has experienced more of life in any one of his years than most people experience in an entire lifetime. He has been quoted saying: “I could write a substantial fascinating novel for each year of my life since age 13!”
The first thing you realize is that he is driven to help people on many different levels based on his first hand adventures. In line with his Christian beliefs, his favorite quote is: “We are on this earth for one reason and one reason only – to help others.”
As you get to know him you realize that he enjoys life’s simple things, but he is not a simple person. Most people consider multi-tasking as the act of doing two or three things at once…Alan is doing, thinking, planning, and multi-tasking on many more levels at once.

All through his life, alcoholism and drug addiction affected many of his thoughts and experiences, but these were not his own addictions. He studied addictions so that he could avoid following the path of those who put his health and life at risk.
