About the Book
The poems in this book are an extension of my first book as I continue to express the reality of life situations a lot of people face or know someone who is dealing with real life situations, but, can’t really express their emotions. No matter the color of a person’s skin, where they live, or their culture and language, we all have one thing in common and that is we all, at some point in our life, have to face the trials and tribulations of real life, therefore, the poems in this book gives one or several individuals the ability to know that they are not alone because somewhere in this world others have experienced some or similar situations, good, bad, or indifferent.
About the Author
I don’t necessarily have a favorite Poet, nor am I an avid poetry reader. I actually enjoy reading mystery/suspense novels. I never enrolled in any type of Creative Writing Courses because I enjoy writing from my heart and soul. I started writing poems because I wanted to express my description of my life as well as the lives of others. If I hear a song, talk to someone, hear a phase or just sitting alone listening to the sounds of life, I am inspired to write. I use images for every poem to give the reader an opportunity to be able to feel the words of the poem as well as create their own image to take ownership of the poem if the words are relevant to their situation. The positive feedback I received from readers of my first book, titled “This is My Story, These are My Psalms” is my primary reason for publishing this book, titled “Universal Thoughts”.
