I grabbed the steal lever fastened to the 1100’s chamber and jerked it back. A loud shucking sound came from the gun as the shell popped into the open chamber. I mashed the cold steel button on the bottom of my gun releasing the chamber to slam shut shoving the shell into position. The noise of steel-on-steel locking together loudly announced death drew near as it echoed through our living room. Suddenly, the beast stopped. The sound of my gun put him at bay. The tug of war with my mother came to a stale mate. I stood 5 feet behind her ready to defend my entire body shaking with fear. He bent over slightly to peer underneath my mother’s arm. The creature’s eyes locked on mine again. The self-centered predator that could think only of himself prowled with less conviction. There was doubt in his eyes as he questioned whether he could take me. Another image burned into my memory. That’s what wickedness looks like as it seeks to take your soul. A wicked evil creature stood on our porch and pondered our fate. For what felt like a minute but probably was only a second, everything stopped. In the background, my mother let him have it verbally but he stood like a statue peering past her arm into my eyes contemplating his next move. His eyes searched my inner soul as he considered our fate. Would I harm him? Could he have anything he desired? His eyes projected his wicked desires.

About the Book
I was 12 years old when an escaped convict chased me for more than a mile. He came to our porch where he looked into my eyes questioning whether I would use my gun if he continued his quest. His decision as well as other events in my life opened my spiritual vision into an unseen world we’d best not ignore. I pray the thoughts shared within these pages stir your soul. I pray the pages increase your awareness of the spiritual world we live within. I hope the thoughts shared help you find kindness, goodness, gentleness, peace, joy, and love.
About the Author
I am quite possibly the only farmer, cross country truck driver, diesel mechanic, CPA , Finance Director in America. If I'm not the only one, certainly I’m on a short list. Years ago while working on the farm my Heavenly Father and I grew close to one another. I prayed for him to use my life to his benefit. My Father put my life on an evolutionary course where I would accumulate intellectual skills I never dreamed of having. Now, years later I find use for these skills documenting unusual events in my life using them to outline an unseen world many never consider. My Father took me from farmer barely capable of writing complete sentences to somewhat of an intellectual capable of writing a humble book. My friends hear my stories of farm life and other events and tell me I should write a book. Now, the book exists. The book’s existence answers my prayer many years ago. I pray you find blessing within these pages.
