Awakening
Open those eyes son,
you have become something you never were before.
Do not love too fast my child, for the pain that follows such a weakness is sure to be as swift and discomforting.
The other side of the mirror hides many a secrets my son: unlike any the heart desired.
Open those eyes son,
you have a capability for feeling above that of the time before your sleep.
So you come to life again, in front of the home you left so full of exuberance,
that you never felt under your mask of brilliance.

About the Book
The book itself was comprised of poems written in the years of 2006 and 2007. The vast majority were comprised in a small neighborhood in Hampton, Georgia that shares a similar name to the title.
About the Author
Jeremy Edmondson was born in Stockbridge, Ga November 21, 1989. The majority of his childhood was spent living in Decatur, Ga with his Great Great Aunt, Grandmother, and Great Granmother. He graduated from Dutchtown High School in 2008 in Hampton, Ga. From high school Jeremy dedicated his life to serving in the United States Army in which he still serves today.
