BE THE LIGHT As God gives you His Word His purpose will be seen Through you and me and others Who had their sins wiped clean Upon the new found life Rest morals we couldn't see But prayer has a way To change everything about me God knew what He was doing When He saved a wretched like me I was lost but now I'm found I was blind but now I see I knew the moment would come That God would trust in me As He waited for my commitment And for my sincerity In time, I will be used To show what God can do I'll be the light for God today As He works through me for you We should always be available By accepting Jesus Christ as Lord To become a light for people to see And to live on one accord.

About the Author
My name is James O. Young. I'm currently a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, located in Jackson, Mississippi. My Pastor is the Rev. Dwight D. Prowell. I was raised in Cambridge, Maryland. I fellowshiped at St. Lukes U. M. Church while I was there. I've had plenty of stops in between there and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In Milwaukee, I was a member of St. James U. M. Church. I started writing at an early age outside the church. Once I turned over a new leaf with my life, I started writing for the Lord. That's when it all got rolling. I allowed God to take over and the poems started flowing as long as I stayed true to myself. Stick with God and let Him do the rest.
