About the Book
"What I write is like letters to myself that I would then permit you to read.”
~ Jules Renard
The Hesitant Hour, the first book of poetry by R. P. Weissner, is a remarkably personal, sometimes sensual collection that reveals, in a language as intimate and painful as any being written, the depths of haunting regret, desire and renewal by which we confront love.
About the Author
R. P. Weissner was born and raised in New Jersey. In 1980 he established his own architectural firm specializing in corporate interior architecture and was an early disciple of computer aided design in architecture. In the spring of 2002, he semi-retired and relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona to spend more time pursuing his lifelong interests in photography and writing.
His poetry is strongly influenced by bits of found language and the poetic affinity seen in the language of art, architecture and music. At times melancholy and personal, his poetry often speaks of longing and promise through strong visual imagery and wordplay creating a revealing journal of self discovery.
