Together
Once again our world has faced another disaster
Lives lost, homes destroyed, much to do after
One by one, we see the children's sad faces
Let us display our selflessness and help change it
As we feel for the women, men, children and the babies
We can come together as one and help
Even the littlest contribution can go a long way
Clothes, food, water; shelter is needed day after day
As we look at the pictures of this mass destruction
It saddens the heart, so we can't do nothing
Unifying with one another in tragic times when in need
It's the only way to go so let's help

About the Book
The poetry that I write comes from the heart and it also uplifts me as a person. I chose the title "Can You Relate?" because there are a lot of people who feel some of the emotions, situations and outlooks on some of the subjects that I expressed throughout the book. I always thought that it was only me going through certain things in my life but came to realize I wasn't alone. So I hope when one reads the poetry they can find a sense of relief in knowing that they are not crazy and they are not alone.
