First trip is set on the west coast of California, with the adventure starting in 1969. At the age of 14 Dawn runs away from home to experiment with drugs and sex while trying to find herself. Along the way she meets cannibals, a stripper, a prostitute, warlocks, pimps and more. Go on an adventure of a lifetime. For those who never took off without a plan or preparation, on a trip to parts unknown, you will live a vicarious life in the early 70's. For those of you who were adventurous during that time, it will bring back memories of a time gone by.


About the Author

Cheryl Taylor was born on January 21, 1955 in Fort Benning, Columbus, GA. She has five children and presently lives in Avenal, Ca. She grew up in Pacific Grove and attended PG high, but never graduated. Having no formal education, she did get a GED in the 1980’s to apply for a federal job. She is an avid reader and her favorite authors are Dean Koontz and Robin Cook. She worked as a waitress on the Monterey Peninsula before finding her true passion, computers. While on a school field trip with her kids to a printing press, she fell in love with the whole process of producing a newspaper and got a job at the King City Rustler working as a typesetter and darkroom tech. In 1997 she started her own business, the Avenal Chimes. It was adjudicated as a newspaper of general circulation in 2000. The paper is now published by Cheryl's oldest daughter, Heather. Cheryl now has more time for the other loves in life; writing, watercolor painting, and photography,
