My fate was, as some would say set. It was going to happen no matter what I had decided to do that day. It was late afternoon and was thinking of going out that evening with some friends. I had nearly got through the day when the event that set the course for the rest of my life happened..... B.....ang !!!!!! All hell broke loose. The flashing lights of ambulances, fire engines and police cars became part of the chaos. Loud sirens sounded together like a bad orchestra, gate-crashing my confused thoughts. I was not sure whether the strobing was coming from-emergency vehicles or I had started hallucinating? My instinct was to put out the fire but in my semi-conscious state the blaze of light and noise blocked my mind.

About the Book
This book is a full account of my life over 59yrs. It might not seem long to most people, but when confused and at a loss as to what to do it is a life time. I hope it shows how letting life's excitement rule instead of dealing with my condition totally wreaked my life.
About the Author
My name is Carol Royce age 59yrs and retired. I spent a large part of my life in the wrong Gender, known as a sufferer of Gender disorder or Gender Dysphoria. I hate both terms but that is what people like me are called by the medical Doctors which help. Having now undergone realignment surgery to correct myself I thought I would share my life.
