Romany Gnomanies in the Emerald Isle

Pesky was deep in thought. He shuddered as he remembered the events of the last couple of days. When the Gnomanies had been taken from outside Roxanne’s wagon and taken on board a ship, he had been worried, but not half as worried as when the boat had sunk in a violent storm, and the Gnomanies had been washed overboard and sank to the bottom of the sea. What was it Giblet called it? “Davey Jones Locker!” that was it. How lucky they had been to have been caught up in Paddy’s nets. Paddy had taken them home and here they were, basking in glorious sunshine outside in his back yard. Pesky checked over his golden paint and made sure he hadn’t suffered any chips or grazes. It all seemed to be all right, but he wanted to look his best when he met the kind fisherman who had saved him from a watery grave. It had been bad enough being tossed on a rubbish tip, but lost overboard, and in a sack at that, now that was something he didn’t want to remember at all. He would never forget it though.
