Once he set up the incense and got it burning, he left and shut the door. We all sat in a circle on the floor and Becka said” Okay, close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.” She repeated it two more times with her instructions. “ Now relax and let time, your guardians, and your mind take you where you want to go.” With that she became silent and I could smell the incense. It made me think of being in the aromatherapy booth yesterday at the flea market. Then I felt myself, just sort of floating and losing sense of my body sitting on the floor. It was like for the first time I was losing the sense of being in my body or having arms or legs or any other part of my body except my mind. It felt like there was no feeling, only my brain working. It was like my brain waves were just drifting in the air like the smoke from the incense stick, going nowhere in particular. Then I think my senses started taking over and I saw a picture come into my head. It was a girl with a very dark complexion. Her hair was thick, very dark and long. It came deeper into her face than mine. Although she didn't really look like me, I felt like I was looking at myself in another time and place. Like this was a memory I dug up from long ago.
