“In the majority of cases with us males, with few exceptions, we would be happy living inside caves as Troglodytes, but for the female aspirations of the women-folk, as well as the dictates of the feminine side of our own inner nature as men-folk. Confidentially, there are many humans around us who consider it a ‘badge of honour’ to behave and to look like the Troglodytes.
I am reminded of a little story told to me some thirty years ago, of a twenty five year-old male reaching a dramatic ‘cross roads’ in his life, and his confusion as to which path he should choose to make something of his present but difficult incarnation.
He was fortunate enough to gain an audience with a famous and highly respected lady Guru from India visiting London at the time. She suggested to him in plain terms, when he spoke to her about himself and his life’s-dilemma, to do four things: One – get a haircut. Two – get a shave. Three – have a bath. Four – find a job, any job”!
