About the Author

Jim Livermore was born in a world that was rushing into World War 2 in poverty The family had very little but made it go a long way, this set is values and morals that stood him in good stead his whole life From humble beginnings he became a well-respected police officer with the Metropolitan Police Force via national service, In later years he was beset with health problems but never allowed it to get him down too much Jim had a vast historical knowledge mainly military based which he used to start a massive project of documenting every dead soldier in World War 1 this work remained unfinished until it was taken up by another historian In latter times he turned to writing his thoughts down of which just some are included here He was a hard man a fair man but most of all he was a man.
