I knew my classmate, Susie Butterfield, would probably be my toughest competition. She’s a perfectionist. Though it seems as if she gets extra joy if she does better than me at a given task. When we were in second grade she drew a picture that the teacher taped to her desk and drew smiley faces all over. My picture got put on the wall with the rest of the class. Susie Butterfield never lets me live that down.

In Crickets Chronicles: The Third Grade Science Fair, Cricket wants to originate an original idea for an experiment to be entered into the third grade science fair. He knows that the other children participating in the science fair want to win the first prize ribbon just as bad as he does, especially fellow classmates Susie Butterfield and Tulip Sweetwater; who always seem to have fun reminding Cricket that whatever he can do they can do better. It's a fun and educational story that will spark the minds of children, motivate them to learn, and not be limited by their imaginations.
About the Author
John L. Mooring was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Davenport University in June of 2003 and is currently in pursuit of his Masters Degree. John is motivated by children taking an interest in their own future, and and he enjoys the satisfaction of providing educational entertainment through his literary works. Crickets Chronicles: The Third Grade Science Fair is the authors first published book.
