The Next Thirty

        There was no warning.

        Suddenly the shuttle flight began a flat spin as it raced through space. No change in speed or direction, but crew and cargo were thrown against harnesses and tie-down straps as centragifical force increased.

The three men lost consciousness and became helpless rag dolls as the craft continued to spin.

        Mission Control Houoston called, "Lima, this is Houston., We are picking up a flat rotation of your craft. Can you confirm?"

        No answer

        Lima, Houston, Over."

        No answer.

        The mission control officer looked at one of is engineers. "Can y ou read the rotation?"

        "No, it's increasing."
